Hi. I’m Koen, the curator of this site. My official name is Kuncoro Wastuwibowo. I started collecting editions of Le Petit Prince books and other artifacts almost two decades ago, and I share some of my personal collections here.

Beyond the collection itself, I have a deep-seated fascination with observing and investigating languages and scripts. I see this pursuit as a way to explore the various codes through which humanity expresses itself. I often find myself in a state of self-declared cognitive dissonance, i.e. investigating the nuances of hundreds of languages through physical, ink-laden books while leading a strictly modern professional life. This journey is driven by a blend of existentialism and romanticism, themes woven into the fabric of Saint-Exupéry’s masterpiece, where I find beauty in the invisible essentials and a tactile anchor in the occasional use of a fountain pen.

This passion has led my collection to grow to more than 520 editions in more than 410 languages and dialects. Whether I am travelling through Europe, Asia, Oceania, or the corners of Indonesia, I did my best to look for how this story is told in the local tongue.

Here is how to write my name in some of the scripts I have encountered:

I could be contacted via my Twitter or Instagram account @kuncoro, or my blog kun.co.ro and kuncoro.com. I started collecting editions of Le Petit Prince books and other artifacts about last decade; and showing some of my personal collections here. I also wrote two translations of this book; i.e. Si Pangeran Kecil in Indonesian language, and Sang Pangeran Ketjil in old orthography (and style) of Indonesian language.
